Facebook Apps

Webetecture

I’ll start this blog post off with an apology:

It’s been over three weeks since the last post, so I felt that an apology was in order.

As you may know, we do aim for one post each week, usually posted over the weekend, but for the past three weeks, we’ve been incredibly busy and completely overlooked our blog.

So – for this, we apologise.

What have you been busy with? We hear you ask…

Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve been working on a new and exciting website design; we’ve launched a new Facebook app (“Latest Blog Post”), and enhanced another Facebook app (“Free Quote”), both styled in the new upcoming design.

And then, there’s been a whole host of boring background admin work to do. Yawn.

So – this is the first blog post to be broadcast on the new app!

Now, isn’t that exciting! I bet you can’t contain your excitement, so to thrill you even further, I thought I’d write a post about the importance of Facebook apps…

What is a ‘Facebook app’, and why should you make use of one?

Well – Facebook describes them as:

“Apps are designed to enhance your experience on Facebook with engaging games and useful features. You can use apps to listen to music with friends, share what you’re reading, play games and more.” --http://www.facebook.com/help/217453588274571/--

And, I couldn’t think of a better way to explain them.

Facebook apps can be created for anything – we’ve created one to bring our blog closer to our Facebook fans, we’ve created another app to retrieve information from people so we can provide them an accurate quote for a web design project, and we have our latest hosting prices available to the world of Facebook.

 Our Facebook Apps

Ultimately, our Facebook apps bring our business to Facebook.

Facebook apps can be powerful, engaging, marketing tools, that can be created for any purpose; you can create them for similar purposes to our own, you can use them to share offers, news and events. But maybe your focus isn’t marketing – well, you can even create games and share them over Facebook, entertaining your fans.

The possibilities are endless!

From as little as just £25, your business can have its own Facebook app, and further integrate your website/business with the Facebook world!

Coming up…

Over the coming weeks we shall, not only be launching our new and exciting website design, but also starting a series on analytics software for websites, as we set out to find the best solution for your website!
